There is some news about ERDF and BDUK funded broadband plans. Cumbria County Council has posted draft information about the roll-out on the Connecting Cumbria website. This is very encouraging, note that it is a work in progress and subject to revision.

Crosby Ravensworth’s exchange (described as Ravensworth), Morland and Shap are mentioned as ‘Being under evaluation.

Exchange upgrade being evaluated as part of the Connecting Cumbria funded programme. The initial survey is being planned to determine the engineering solution that will be proposed.’

Ravensworth and Morland are mentioned in Tranche Three, the Future Exchange category too.

EVD’s Directors are in the process of closing down the Eden Valley Digital Community Interest Company. EVD will continue as a group of Leith Lyvennet Parish representatives.

Alan Cook has announced that heat maps showing the future impact of roll-out money district by district will be available soon on the Connecting Cumbria website and our Hub Coordinator has kindly offered to prepare maps from the data that will show this impact for our area.
