Do you live, work or run a business in Appleby, Asby, Bandleyside, Bolton, Crakenthorpe, Dufton, Kirkby Thore, Long Marton, Knock, Milburn, Murton and Temple Sowerby and have ideas about how you would like to improve your area? Then why not attend the ‘Councillors Come to You’ meeting taking place on Tuesday 12 February from 6pm-7pm at Long Marton Institute in the centre of Long Marton, near Appleby.

At the meeting residents, businesses, parish councils and community groups can meet Eden District Council’s Executive and discuss opportunities and issues for their areas. Eden District Council’s Leader, Gordon Nicolson said: “The Councillors Come to You Meetings have been well received by the public, many people have been keen to discuss a wide range of issues with Eden’s Executive, I look forward to meeting people from the area and helping to address their needs.”

Councillors Come to You meetings are open to the public and are taking place across Eden District at the locations below:

  • Heart of Eden, 12 February 2013 6pm-7pm, at Long Marton Institute
  • Shap and Lakes, Tuesday 5 March 2013 6pm-7pm, at Shap Village Hall
  • North Eden, Tuesday 2 April 2013 6pm-7pm, at Low Hesket Village Hall
