Farming Today Programme Focuses On Need For Fast Rural Broadband

Here’s a BBC Radio 4 Farming Today programme  http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b01380m7 that may be of interest to all of us who would like to have a speedier internet connection. The Government’s announcement that Cumbria will get the single largest tranche of funding for any county (about £17 million) is very heartening news. Our thanks to all who have worked long and hard to bring this about, including our MP Rory Stewart, Mike Kiely acting Technical and Industry Lead for Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), Cumbria County Council, and the folk in the East Cumbria Broadband Community Groups Forum.

Soon you will have news about recent broadband developments via the Leith-Lyvennet Newsletter.
