If you get the Leith-Lyvennet newsletter in your home, you are invited to an important meeting on Wednesday, February 16th at 7pm in Morland Village Hall.
The Eden Valley has been selected as a pilot area for the Government’s Big Society strategy. One major idea is to provide high speed broadband to our area but it will only happen if we really want it. And we might get a bit of a subsidy. Otherwise we are part of the “Final Third” and it could take years before we can catch up with the rest of the country. So we need to act NOW.
Come and find out more about what the benefits of high speed broadband would be, why they are important to you, how you might get them, and what you need to do next. Even if you don’t think you need it, connection to the “fourth utility” could make a big difference to the value of your home in the future. There will be some short presentations, and a question and answer session.
The meeting is organised by the Leith/Lyvennet Broadband Group, acting on behalf of all the newsletter parishes. Kindly supported by Morland Parish Council.
If you cannot come to the meeting, it is important that you complete the enclosed insert and return it to the appropriate address.
